About Me
Rachel Oliver resided in various states throughout the South before settling down in Pensacola, Florida. She is the daughter of a Naval Officer, and she spent most of her youth visiting history and science museums over art museums. Yet the artifacts were inspiring. From a young age she was fascinated with photography and experimented with many types of film cameras.
Rachel went on to receive her Associate's Degree in Photographic Technology from Pensacola State College and then graduated with a BFA in Studio Art from the University of West Florida. Her favorite methods employ processes that incorporate film and digital techniques. Although photography is her passion, she experiments with other mediums including sculpture and mixed media. Her work has been on display at the Pensacola Museum of Art, the Anna Lamar Switzer Center for the Visual Arts, and The Art Gallery at UWF, all in Pensacola, Florida.
